Programming category is valid in ctf?

Hii! I want to know if the programming category is valid in ctf, because I found a challenge that is about programming, for example, i am doing the next challenges, is it valid?.

This in particular, could be hack type. The other way around would be a site in code folder with a few solutions, and a sister directory in hack.
